Duke University School of Medicine invites applications and nominations for the Chair of the Department of Dermatology. Candidates should have a strong background in academic medicine, including a track record of excellence in clinical service, medical education, and research, along with significant experience as a physician leader in an academic setting. Duke’s Department of Dermatology (https://dermatology.duke.edu/) was established as an independent department in 2009. It has a tradition of cutting-edge clinical care, nationally recognized programs in graduate medical education, and innovative research. The Department has a robust clinical and basic research program with strengths in immunology and cancer biology. Clinically, the Department has faculty who are national and world leaders in cutaneous oncology, pediatric dermatology and immunology. Approximately 30 clinical and research faculty members, and 16 fellows and residents comprise the department. Candidates should have an MD degree, academic credentials that qualify for appointment at the level of full Professor, and be eligible for a license to practice medicine in North Carolina.
