Responsible for involvement in the operations of the Medical Staff Services function. Involvement includes recording meeting minutes, participating in quality assurance/continuous quality improvement as needed, credentialing, maintaining computer database, performing secretarial duties, and communicating with all levels of Hospital Management and Medical Staff. Assist in performing other administrative duties as required.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate/Bachelor's Degree in Office Administration or Secretarial Science preferred
Forty-five (45) wpm typing required and ability to take shorthand/speedwriting preferred
Three (3) years previous secretarial experience or combination of secretarial/business school and experience required
Experience in medical staff affairs including credentialing and federal/state regulations and bylaws is preferred
National Association of Medical Staff Services Certification preferred
