The Department of Nutrition and Food Science at Wayne State University is seeking candidates for a 9-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position. We seek candidates with demonstrated research excellence in the area of community nutrition. Candidates may have expertise in any of the following areas: community nutrition, public health nutrition, nutrition intervention, behavioral medicine, health risk and disparities, epidemiology, or other related fields.

A doctorate degree in nutrition or health sciences is required. RD credential is preferred. The successful candidates should demonstrate an ability to: a) develop research collaboration both within and across disciplines in order to develop interdisciplinary research teams; b) obtain extramural research funding; c) teach in the Department's undergraduate and graduate programs, bring unique expertise and perspectives to the nutrition curriculum, and mentor graduate students within and outside the Department.
