The Data Manager’s primary responsibility is to model and coach Lean methods for process innovation, 5S and inventory management, daily management metrics and other Lean technical skills, as well as administrate IT systems for the Lean Resource Office. Oversees analytical support plan for enterprise-wide MC21 Management System (MC21 MS) activities through the use of Lean philosophy and principles. This individual will work under the direction of the Director to provide supervision of MC21 MS Data Coordinators, Lean Interns and Office Coordinator, training and coaching of Fellows and Master Fellows in Lean technical skills and to organize and populate data streams and visual displays to support front-line teams in their understanding of performance opportunities, maintain in-depth ROI tracking, and prepare summary reports such as Lean Close and Lean Annual Report for the MC21 MS steering and other target audiences to support decision-making. The position will also serve as an organization-wide consultant regarding the use of data for decision-making.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports RPI/RPD Workshops, 5S and Value Stream events including up-front consultation for the assessment, planning, and post-event (sustainment) phases of MC21MS events to facilitate the change management process and produce positive outcomes.
Supervise and develop MC21 MS Data Coordinators.
Contributes to the development of MC21 MS infrastructure, for Lean Knowledge Management System and applies Lean principles in developing and maintaining MC21 MS processes and tools.
Promotes and facilitates organization-wide learning regarding the use of data-driven decision-making
Applies creativity to population of data streams and graphical presentations.
