Providence is calling a full time, variable shift Clinical Nurse Specialist to the Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA.
In this position you will:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a Registered Nurse with advanced education and clinical expertise in specific areas of clinical practice.
Implement the role by functioning as expert clinician, role model, consultant, educator, and researcher.
Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide clinical expertise for patient management to assure the coordination of effective, efficient, and appropriate patient care along the health illness continuum.
Function within the organization as clinical expert, resource expert and change agent.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
Current California Clinical Nurse Specialist certification
Specialty Professional Nursing Organization certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
At least 2 years experience in a specialty area
