The CMO will report to UM Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute’s President and CEO with a dotted line reporting relationship to UMMS CMO and will also be a member of the System CMO Council. The CMO will provide strategic leadership in designated clinical areas, provide direction to Medical Directors and Clinical Chiefs and cultivate strong physician relations within the Institute and UMMS. The CMO will serve as a key liaison between the School of Medicine, academic physicians, community physicians and administration. Additionally, the CMO will partner with the CEO and senior management to develop a preferred post-acute rehabilitation service across UMMS.
