Pathologist - Academic GI/Hepatic Michigan Medicine | University of Michigan
ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN (USA). The Department of Pathology at Michigan Medicine (the University of Michigan Health System) is seeking an experienced surgical pathologist with subspecialty training and expertise in gastrointestinal and hepatic pathology. Our active GI pathology service accessions almost 20,000 biopsy and surgical cases in addition to over 3000 extramural consultation cases. Our clinical GI Pathology Fellowship attracts nationally competitive candidates annually, and we have recently created a research-track fellowship as well.
The successful candidate will have:
An established track record of peer-reviewed publications in GI and hepatic pathology with regional or national recognition.
He or she will have ample protected time to pursue research interests.
Excellent diagnostic skills appropriate to tertiary level subspecialty GI sign-out (including liver and pancreas).
Effective communication skills.
Board certification in Anatomic Pathology.
A commitment to excellent patient care are required.
