Child neurologist with clinical neurophysiology training Stead Family Department of Pediatrics The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics seeks a child neurologist with clinical neurophysiology training at the rank of Associate (non track), Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor (tenure or non-tenure/clinical track). The individual selected will join the Division of Neurology to provide patient care, teaching, and consultative services. In addition, this individual will read EEGs and video EEGs in rotation with other faculty. Requirements: Must hold an MD/DO degree, or equivalent Board certified or eligible in Neurology with Special Competence in Child Neurology or equivalent Board certified or eligible in Clinical Neurophysiology License or eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa Desirable qualifications: Clinical experience in pediatric neurology Experience and training in reading pediatric routine and video EEGs Experience in patient-oriented research Teaching competence in child neurology for medical students and residents Evidence of scholarly activity Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is one of the top biomedical research institutions in the nation and ranked 42nd overall and 20th among public medical schools for NIH funding in FY17.
