The Division of Hematology and Oncology within the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time faculty member at the rank of Professor for the position of Division Chief. Tenure status will be determined based on qualifications. Responsibilities include expanding the Division’s robust portfolio of basic, translational, and clinical research while interacting with existing schools, departments, and centers with activities in the research, education, and clinical care domains. The successful candidate will have a key leadership role in the Northwestern Medicine HealthCare system’s cancer care strategy. The chief will oversee the Division’s academic, research, and administrative affairs. The Feinberg School of Medicine is ranked 17th in U.S. News & World Report and has $471 million of annual research funding. The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is located in downtown Chicago close to the “Magnificent Mile”. The medical school is part of the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University that includes three U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll hospitals; Northwestern Memorial Hospital is ranked 13th nationally, Lurie Children’s Hospital 7th, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago) 1st.
Qualified candidates will possess an MD, be board-certified in Hematology and/or Oncology, and have a record of scholarly accomplishments and national recognition.
The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled. Salary is commensurate with experience.
