Responsible for overall Environmental Services functions for contracts at assigned healthcare facility. Responsible for daily monitoring and project management support. Monitors monthly reports to ensure performance compliance. Responsible for the development and management of budgets and job costs at assigned location. Environmental Services Supervisors report directly to this position at this jobsite.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establish, review and monitor all housekeeping policies and procedures.
Conduct jobsite inspections; implement corrective actions if necessary.
Monitor overall jobsite and contract performance.
Review weekly labor hour reports to assess actual performance vs. budget and works with job location on improving efficiency and decreasing hours to budget or below.
Ensure that site respond to service increases and decreases by adjusting schedules and man hours accordingly.
Adheres to budget costs (labor, supply, materials, microfiber laundering and overhead) and be accountable of those budgeted costs.
Provides contract support and interpretation to Corporate Director of Environmental Services.
Ensures site is properly maintaining vehicles and equipment to extend life of units.
Participates in the contract modification (pricing adjustment) process with site government personnel and corporate staff.
Reviews jobsite monthly reports; evaluate performance against budget and other quality of service metrics.
Communicates with government representatives via e-mail and phone on a regular basis.
Reviews all employee injury reports/accident investigations and works with site supervisor and employees on maintaining a safe work environment with a target of zero employee injuries.
Promotes best practices in order to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Performs walk through of facilities serviced to evaluate overall service level.
Reviews site QC metrics to ensure proper QC is being performed and documented.
Ensures site is fully utilizing EvPro Software systems in the course of their daily operations.
Meet with COR, QAE, and KO (where applicable) to assess service levels and overall contract performance.
Provides oversight, supervision and hospital aseptic training in accordance with AHE standard procedures of the Environmental Services (Housekeeping) Department and with hospital objectives to supervisor and staff.
Ensures all behaviors comply with the company’s Employee Handbook and all established policies and procedures manuals for environmental services.
Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises, reviews and inspects the work of staff responsible for providing environmental services to government standards.
Reviews inspections and investigations provided by supervisor to enforce and oversee corrections to ensure compliance and government standards are met in a timely manner.
Research, analyze and define issues with adhering to established company policies and procedures; recommend and oversee resolutions and procedures for meeting government standard and requirements.
Review, prepare, complete and accurate reports on operations, inspections and activities.
Implement site goals and objectives; establish schedules and methods for providing environmental services to meet inspection and standards; implement policies and procedures.
Respond to and resolve timely difficult and sensitive customer inquiries and complaints

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Institutional Housekeeping Management or Science degree in Business or Registered Executive Housekeeper (REH) Certification from (IEHA). CHESP preferred.
The Executive Housekeeper(s) or equivalent shall possess a minimum of six (6) years’ experience: three (3) years of general housekeeping and three (3) years of specific hospital housekeeping/environmental experience. Should have at least twelve (12) consecutive months of experience as an REH in a comparable full service hospital.
Specific experience shall indicate that the Executive Housekeeper(s) or equivalent has managed and performed in a medical housekeeping services program in a tertiary medical research facility with at least 220-500 bed capacity, where meeting all housekeeping requirements was the direct responsibility of the Executive Housekeeper or equivalent. housekeeping/environmental experience
Minimum of one year of experience as an Executive Housekeeper in a full service hospital or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job (*requirements may be specified in contract)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of contract administration, personnel practices, OSHA and safety procedures
Certificate of completion for all contract requirement courses from the International Executive Housekeeping Association (IEHA)
Must meet all certification requirements as indicated by International Executive Housekeeper’s Association (IEHA).
Must comply with commercial industry, federal, state, and local continuing education requirements.
Professional certification shall be maintained for the duration of the period of performance.
Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility
Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
